Standard Motor Products AS194 Turbocharger Boost Sensor MAP/BAPP

The Standard Motor Products AS194 is a precision-engineered turbocharger boost sensor, also known as a MAP/BAPP (Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Absolute Pressure Position) sensor. This critical engine management component measures turbo manifold pressure and transmits this data to the engine control module (ECM) to calculate air density and determine optimal fuel delivery for maximum combustion efficiency.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM replacement designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Features a 3-terminal female connector design for reliable electrical connection
• Measures boost pressure in turbocharged applications to prevent engine damage
• Engineered for precision performance, durability, and long service life
• 100% in-line and end-of-line inspection during manufacturing process
• Lightweight design at just 0.05 lbs for easy installation

A failing turbo boost sensor can result in loss of power, poor fuel economy, elevated emissions, hesitation during acceleration, and potential engine damage due to improper fuel mixture under boost conditions. The AS194 ensures accurate pressure readings to maintain optimal engine performance and protect your turbocharged engine from running lean under load. This sensor is commonly used in GM applications including Duramax diesel engines and various turbocharged gasoline vehicles.
