Keystone GM1236209 Hood Hinge Right Side with Active Pedestrian Protection

The Keystone GM1236209 is an OEM-replacement right-hand hood hinge designed for the 2016–2022 Chevrolet Camaro equipped with the Active Pedestrian Protection (APP) system. This safety-integrated hinge is engineered to restore the factory hood operation and pedestrian impact compliance following collision damage or component failure.

The Active Pedestrian Protection system uses pyrotechnic actuators within the hood hinge assembly to rapidly lift the rear of the hood upon pedestrian impact detection, creating a buffer zone between the hood surface and hard underhood components. Replacing this hinge with a correct APP-compatible unit ensures the system functions as designed and maintains the vehicle's passive safety certification.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM Replacement – Engineered to match original factory specifications for fit and function
• Active Pedestrian Protection Compatible – Designed for Camaro models equipped with the APP system
• Right-Hand (Passenger Side) Application
• OEM Cross-Reference: Replaces GM part number 84016841
• Precision-formed construction for proper hood alignment and operation
• Designed for straightforward collision repair installation

This hood hinge is part of Keystone Automotive Industries' line of collision replacement components, built to meet or exceed OEM standards for body shop and DIY repair applications. Always verify proper APP system service procedures when replacing pedestrian protection components.
