This mode door actuator is the rear auxiliary unit responsible for regulating airflow within the second and third-row climate control zones. Symptoms of a failed actuator typically include clicking or tapping noises from behind the dash, loss of airflow direction control, or HVAC modes that no longer respond correctly. Replacing this unit restores full rear-zone climate control functionality.
