J.C. Whitney JV27160008 Rear Left Brake Caliper OEM Replacement Driver Side

The J.C. Whitney JV27160008 is an OEM-replacement rear left (driver side) disc brake caliper designed as a direct-fit replacement for compatible Volvo C30 and S40 models. Engineered to restore factory braking performance, this caliper is built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for reliable, consistent stopping power.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM Replacement: Designed as a drop-in replacement for the original factory caliper — no modifications required
• Driver Side (Left/LH): Rear left position; single-piston design consistent with Volvo P1 platform rear brake systems
• Screw-In Piston Design: Features the Volvo P1 platform's integrated screw-in piston that must be rotated clockwise while compressing during installation — not a simple push-in piston
• Built to Quality Standards: Manufactured to ISO 9001 and QS 9000 standards for validated, consistent brake component quality
• Includes Installation Hardware: Supplied with the necessary hardware for a complete caliper replacement
• 1-Year Unlimited-Mileage Warranty: Backed by J.C. Whitney's standard brake component warranty

This caliper is a critical safety component that clamps the brake pads against the rotor to slow and stop the vehicle. Replacement is recommended when the original caliper shows signs of sticking, fluid leakage, uneven brake wear, or seized guide pins. Compatible with Volvo C30 (2008–2013) and Volvo S40 (2004–2011) rear left brake positions.
