J.C. Whitney JN27160010 Rear Brake Caliper Left Driver Side OEM Replacement

The J.C. Whitney JN27160010 is an OEM replacement rear disc brake caliper for the driver side (left) position. Engineered to restore factory braking performance, this caliper is a direct-fit replacement designed to bolt into place without modification.

The rear brake caliper is a critical component of the disc brake system. When the brake pedal is depressed, hydraulic fluid pressurizes the caliper piston, which forces the brake pads against the rotor surface to slow and stop the vehicle. Over time, caliper seals can deteriorate from heat exposure, leading to fluid leaks, reduced braking response, or a pulling sensation under braking — all signs that caliper replacement is needed.

Key Features:

• OEM replacement — direct-fit, no modification required
• Driver side (left / LH) rear position
• Single phenolic piston design matching factory specifications
• Inlet size: 0.39 in; exhaust port size: M10 x 1.0
• Installation hardware included
• Restores factory braking feel and hydraulic integrity

Important Installation Notes: After installation, use new sealing washers on both sides of the brake hose inlet fitting, torque all mounting bolts to factory specification, and bleed the brake system before returning the vehicle to service. Verify there are no brake fluid leaks before test driving.
