J.C. Whitney JF27160024 Rear Brake Caliper Driver Side OEM Replacement 1-Piston

The J.C. Whitney JF27160024 is a new, direct-fit OEM replacement rear brake caliper for the driver (left-hand) side. Designed as a precision replacement for worn or seized units, this single-piston floating caliper restores proper braking performance and pedal feel to factory specification.

Key Features:

• Brand new construction — not remanufactured or rebuilt
• Single-piston (1-piston) design with a steel piston for durability and resistance to heat and corrosion
• Driver side (left-hand) fitment for precise, application-specific installation
• OEM replacement quality — engineered to match original factory dimensions and function
• Includes caliper and hardware for a complete installation
• High-temperature seals and dust boots included for long service life

The brake caliper is a critical safety component that clamps the brake pads against the rotor when the brake pedal is depressed, bringing the vehicle to a controlled stop. A faulty or sticking caliper can cause uneven pad wear, brake pull, reduced stopping power, or brake drag. Replacing a failed caliper with a quality OEM-spec unit restores confident, consistent braking performance. Note: Brake system bleeding is recommended after caliper replacement if the brake hose or banjo bolt is disconnected during installation.
