Replacement RL28950002 Hydraulic Power Steering Rack and Pinion Assembly with Inner Tie Rods

The Replacement RL28950002 is a complete hydraulic power steering rack and pinion assembly designed as a direct-fit OEM-quality replacement. This unit restores precise, responsive steering feel and includes pre-installed inner tie rods for a more straightforward installation process.

The rack and pinion assembly converts the rotational motion of the steering wheel into the lateral movement needed to direct the front wheels. Hydraulic power assist reduces steering effort, especially at low speeds and during parking maneuvers. A worn or leaking rack can cause wandering, clunking over bumps, difficulty turning, or fluid loss — all of which this replacement unit addresses.

Key Features:

• Hydraulic power-assisted rack and pinion design for smooth, responsive steering
• Complete assembly with inner tie rods included — no need to source separately
• Manufactured to OEM specifications for direct-fit installation
• Replaces OEM part number 4425048041 and cross-references 26-2611, 262611, 4425048021, 4425048040, 4550349095
• Direct replacement for worn, leaking, or damaged steering racks

Installation requires draining the power steering fluid, disconnecting hoses and electrical connectors, unbolting the rack from the subframe, and reversing the process upon reassembly. A wheel alignment is recommended after installation. Always flush and refill the power steering system with the manufacturer-specified fluid upon completion.
