Replacement RF28700004 Front Auto Locking Hub OEM Replacement BC3Z3B396A

The Replacement RF28700004 is a direct-fit front automatic locking hub designed as an OEM-quality replacement for Ford F-Series Super Duty pickups (2011–2017). This hub is interchangeable for both the driver and passenger sides (RH=LH), simplifying inventory and reducing guesswork during replacement.

Automatic locking hubs engage and disengage the front axle shafts automatically as four-wheel drive is selected or deselected, eliminating the need to manually lock or unlock the hubs at the wheel. When the front axle is not engaged, the hubs free-wheel, reducing drivetrain drag and improving fuel efficiency in two-wheel-drive operation.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for OEM part number BC3Z-3B396-A
• Automatic locking hub design — no manual engagement required
• Fits both right-hand and left-hand sides (RH=LH)
• Engineered to OEM specifications for proper fit and function
• Restores proper 4WD engagement and disengagement
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment standards

This locking hub is the correct replacement when the original unit exhibits symptoms such as failure to engage 4WD, grinding or popping noises from the front hub area, or visible wear and damage to the hub assembly. It is compatible with Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty front axle applications for the specified model years.
