Why Service Your Transom?

The transom assembly is one of the most maintenance-critical areas of a stern drive boat. Deteriorated bellows, a worn gimbal bearing, or a failing shift cable can lead to water intrusion, gear engagement problems, or costly drive damage. Replacing these components together during a scheduled service interval is considered best practice by marine technicians.

Engineered Marine Products (EMP) is a trusted aftermarket manufacturer of MerCruiser-compatible stern drive components, producing parts built to meet or exceed OEM standards. The 61-08393 is designed as a direct replacement, simplifying the parts sourcing process for a complete transom overhaul.
