Siemens GKD221.1U Fire/Smoke Damper Actuator 80 lb-in Spring Return 120V

The Siemens GKD221.1U OpenAir GKD Series Electronic Damper Actuator is a heavy-duty spring return actuator designed specifically for 2-position control of UL listed smoke control dampers and combination fire/smoke dampers in commercial HVAC systems. This robust actuator delivers 80 lb-in (9 Nm) of driving torque, making it ideal for demanding fire and smoke damper applications that require reliable fail-safe operation.

Key Features:

• 80 lb-in (9 Nm) torque rating for positive damper control
• Spring return fail-safe operation for emergency response
• 120 VAC power supply with 2-position on/off control
• 30-second nominal drive time with ≤15-second spring return
• UL 555S certified for fire and smoke damper applications
• Plenum-rated construction for air-handling spaces
• All-metal housing for durability and high-temperature performance
• Teflon-insulated lead wires for enhanced reliability
• Mechanical range adjustment for field customization
• Compatible with multiple shaft couplings up to 1.05-inch diameter

This actuator is part of Siemens' OpenAir family of damper actuators, engineered to meet the stringent requirements of fire and life safety systems. The fast-acting design ensures rapid response in emergency situations, while the spring return mechanism provides fail-safe positioning in the event of power loss. Ideal for commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, and industrial facilities where fire and smoke control is critical.
