Cloyes VTS117 Variable Valve Timing VVT Oil Control Solenoid

The Cloyes VTS117 is a replacement Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Oil Control Solenoid designed to restore proper camshaft phasing and engine timing performance. As a precision-engineered OE-style replacement, this solenoid regulates oil flow to the VVT actuator, allowing the engine control module (ECM) to continuously adjust intake and/or exhaust cam timing for optimal power, fuel efficiency, and emissions output.

Cloyes is a trusted name in timing drive systems, and their VVT solenoid lineup is built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications. The VTS117 is constructed with high-quality materials to withstand the heat and pressure of the engine oil circuit, ensuring reliable, long-term operation.

Key Features:

• Direct OE-style replacement for the original variable valve timing solenoid
• Precisely regulates engine oil pressure to the VVT cam phaser/actuator
• Helps eliminate common VVT fault codes and check engine lights related to cam timing
• Built to OE specifications for proper fit and function
• Manufactured by Cloyes, a leading supplier of timing drive components
• Designed for straightforward installation with OEM-style connector and mounting

A failed or sluggish VVT solenoid can result in rough idle, poor fuel economy, loss of power, and stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) related to camshaft position or timing. Replacing the solenoid with the Cloyes VTS117 restores the ECM's ability to precisely control valve timing across the full RPM range.
