Wiseco WIS-15478 Custom Forged Single Piston

The Wiseco WIS-15478 is a custom-spec forged piston designed and manufactured by Wiseco, one of the most trusted names in high-performance and racing pistons for powersports, motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, and automotive applications. Built to exacting tolerances, this single piston is part of Wiseco's custom piston program, allowing for precise displacement, compression ratio, and bore-specific configurations that OEM and standard shelf pistons cannot accommodate.

Key Features:

• Forged aluminum construction — Wiseco's proprietary forging process produces a piston that is stronger and lighter than cast alternatives, ideal for high-stress, high-heat environments
• Custom specification design — engineered to meet specific bore diameter, dome profile, and pin height requirements outside of standard production tolerances
• CNC-machined finish — precision machining ensures consistent wall thickness, ring land integrity, and skirt profile for optimal ring seal and reduced blowby
• High-silicon alloy material — excellent thermal expansion characteristics reduce piston-to-wall clearance variation across operating temperatures
• ArmorGlide or ArmorPlating coating options (application dependent) — reduces friction and wear on skirt surfaces, extending component life
• Includes wrist pin and circlips (verify with order confirmation for exact kit contents)

Wiseco custom pistons are a go-to solution for engine builders working on non-standard bores, overbore rebuilds, stroker kits, or specialized racing builds where off-the-shelf fitment is not available. Each piston is produced to Wiseco's strict quality control standards, ensuring the same level of performance and reliability found in their full production lineup.
