Genuine BMW 31 30 7 850 609 Front Wheel Acceleration Sensor Cable EDC Suspension

The Genuine BMW 31 30 7 850 609 is an OEM replacement cable for the front wheel acceleration sensor, a critical component of BMW's Electronic Damper Control (EDC) suspension system. This cable connects the acceleration sensor located on the front struts to the vehicle's suspension control network.

The wheel acceleration sensor plays a key role in BMW's Vertical Dynamics Control (VDC) system, continuously monitoring wheel movement to allow the EDC system to adjust damping in real time for both handling precision and ride comfort. When this cable is damaged or degraded, the vehicle may log fault codes indicating a faulty acceleration sensor — even when the sensor itself is functioning properly.

Why This Cable Fails:

• Exposure to road debris, moisture, and the elements can damage the cable sheath and connectors
• The connection cable is statistically more likely to fail than the sensor itself
• A failed cable can cause the VDC system to underperform, negatively affecting cornering behavior and ride quality

Key Features:

• 100% Genuine OEM BMW part — not aftermarket or remanufactured
• Direct factory replacement for the front axle suspension assembly
• Installs in the front axle / front suspension location
• Backed by BMW's 2-year warranty regardless of mileage
• OEM Part Numbers: 31 30 7 850 609 / 31-30-7-850-609 / 7850609

Restoring this cable with a Genuine BMW part ensures the EDC system receives accurate sensor data, maintaining the performance and comfort standards your BMW was engineered to deliver.
