Fel-Pro SS73173 Engine Valve Stem Oil Seal Set

The Fel-Pro SS73173 is an application-specific engine valve stem oil seal set engineered to deliver precise oil control at each valve stem. Valve stem seals play a critical role in engine lubrication — allowing a controlled amount of oil to reach the valve stem and guide while preventing excess oil from entering the combustion chamber. Worn or damaged seals lead to excessive oil consumption, blue exhaust smoke, carbon buildup, and premature valve and guide wear.

Fel-Pro engineers analyze the original equipment (OE) design for every application, selecting seal materials and geometry to match or exceed factory specifications. This set is manufactured from high-quality Viton rubber, which offers excellent resistance to heat and abrasion, ensuring long service life under demanding engine conditions.

Key Features:

• Application-specific design for a precise, leak-free fit
• Viton rubber construction for superior heat and abrasion resistance
• Positive-style seals provide controlled oil metering to the valve stem and guide
• Helps prevent excessive oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke
• Reduces carbon buildup on valve seats and stems
• Includes a protective installation sleeve to prevent seal lip damage during installation
• Manufactured to meet or exceed OE specifications

The Fel-Pro SS73173 valve stem oil seal set includes all seals needed for a complete engine service. A thin plastic installation sleeve is included to protect the inner lip of each seal from damage by the lock grooves in the valve stem during installation. Trusted by professional engine builders and technicians, Fel-Pro valve stem seals are the preferred choice for reliable, long-lasting engine repair.
