Product Details

The Magnum Shielding 4871228 is a complete Black Pearl (BP) braided cable and brake line handlebar kit designed for motorcycles running an 8-inch handlebar rise. This all-matching kit provides the cables and lines needed when upgrading to taller handlebars, ensuring proper routing, function, and a cohesive custom appearance throughout the cockpit.

Key Features:

  • Black Pearl (BP) braided finish for a sleek, blacked-out custom look
  • Designed specifically for 8-inch handlebar rise fitment
  • Meets or exceeds OEM specifications for fitment, construction, and endurance
  • Anti-friction inner liners and factory lubrication for smooth, low-effort operation and long service life
  • Nylon adjuster inserts resist corrosion and reduce friction at adjustment points
  • Complete matching kit — throttle, idle, and clutch cables plus brake line(s) included
  • Manufactured to ISO 9001-based quality standards

Magnum Shielding has been a Tier-1 supplier to Harley-Davidson Parts & Accessories since 1992, and their braided control kits are the trusted choice for custom handlebar builds. The 4871228 kit delivers both reliable performance and a consistent blacked-out aesthetic across all cockpit controls.

No reply to my email with question about the part fitting my vehicle. Since the mfg part # matched I took a chance and ordered.

It was what I needed, and worked perfectly, great price

Super smooth transaction, and fast delivery. Just waiting for my mechanic to open packages and verify all correct parts, but I don't expect any issues. Would definitely purchase and recommend others do business with Motorsport.com again

Great Experience and even better price!!
