BBP 12521K Drum Brake Self-Adjusting Repair Kit

The BBP 12521K is a drum brake self-adjusting repair kit designed to restore the automatic adjustment mechanism in drum brake systems. The self-adjuster keeps brake shoes properly positioned relative to the drum as lining wears, maintaining consistent pedal feel and reliable stopping performance.

Over time, the self-adjusting mechanism can corrode or wear out, causing the brake shoes to require greater travel before contacting the drum. This kit provides the components needed to rebuild the adjuster assembly and return the system to proper factory-specification function.

Key Features:

• Replaces worn or damaged drum brake self-adjuster components
• Includes star wheel adjuster assembly and associated hardware
• Manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) specifications
• Designed for precise, factory-correct fit and function
• Helps ensure brake adjustments occur at proper intervals for consistent pedal response
• Quality materials resist corrosion and high-stress operating conditions

When servicing drum brakes or installing new brake drums, inspecting and replacing the self-adjuster hardware is recommended to ensure trouble-free braking performance.
