Gates 51974 Molded Coolant Hose

The Gates 51974 Molded Coolant Hose is an OEM-quality replacement hose engineered to deliver reliable cooling system performance for automotive applications. This pre-shaped coolant hose is designed to fit upper, lower, bypass, heater, or other coolant system applications with precision.

Key Features:

• EPDM rubber tube and cover construction for superior durability
• Synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for high strength and burst resistance
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of hose failure
• Pre-shaped design ensures proper fit and perfectly sealed connections
• Temperature range: -40°F to +257°F (-40°C to +125°C)
• Resistant to heat, ozone, and chemical coolants
• Meets SAE 20R4 Class D2 specifications

Gates molded coolant hoses are manufactured with specifically-engineered materials that resist vacuum collapse, eliminating the need for internal springs in many applications. The advanced EPDM compound provides exceptional resistance to the electrochemical degradation that occurs when coolant, hose, and metal fittings create a galvanic reaction. This professional-grade replacement hose delivers OEM-quality performance at an aftermarket value.

Note: Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed to ensure a secure, leak-free connection.
