Gates 51648 Molded Coolant Hose

The Gates 51648 is a precision-molded coolant hose engineered to deliver OEM-quality performance for radiator and cooling system applications. This pre-shaped hose is manufactured with advanced EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) construction designed to resist electrochemical degradation, the leading cause of coolant hose failure.

Key Features:

• EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior strength and durability
• Heat-, ozone-, and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover
• Pre-shaped to fit specific applications and ensure perfectly sealed connections
• Engineered to resist vacuum collapse without internal springs in many applications
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 performance standards
• Approved for marine applications

Gates coolant hoses are factory-molded to exact specifications, eliminating the need for costly OE dealer parts while maintaining OEM fit and quality. The advanced compound formulation resists the electrochemical degradation that occurs when coolant, metal fittings, and rubber hoses create a galvanic reaction, significantly extending service life and preventing unexpected failures.
