Gates 51545 Molded Coolant Hose

The Gates 51545 is a premium molded coolant hose engineered to deliver reliable performance in demanding engine cooling applications. Manufactured to OEM-quality specifications, this pre-shaped coolant hose provides a precise fit for upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant system applications.

Key Features:

• EPDM tube construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior durability
• Heat- and ozone-resistant EPDM cover protects against environmental degradation
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Specifically-engineered materials resist vacuum collapse, reducing the need for internal springs
• Pre-shaped design ensures proper fit and perfectly sealed connections
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Meets SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 requirements for quality and performance

Gates coolant hoses are designed to prevent the electrochemical degradation that occurs when hoses, coolant, and metal fittings form a galvanic cell, causing micro-cracks and eventual failure. This hose is approved for automotive and marine cooling system applications. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal system integrity.
