Engineered Marine Products 1300-36071 Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve for Marine Engines

The Engineered Marine Products (EMP) 1300-36071 is a replacement Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve engineered for marine inboard and sterndrive fuel-injected engines. This direct-fit replacement component is designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications, restoring proper idle speed management to fuel-injected marine powerplants.

The IAC valve works in conjunction with the engine's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to regulate the amount of air bypassing the throttle body at idle. By precisely metering this airflow, the valve maintains a stable, consistent idle RPM regardless of varying engine loads — helping prevent stalling when the vessel is stationary or maneuvering at low speeds.

Key Features:

• Direct OEM-replacement idle air control valve for compatible marine engines
• Electronically controlled stepper motor design for precise airflow regulation
• Works with the engine ECU to maintain steady idle RPM and prevent stalling
• Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment performance standards
• Built to withstand the demanding marine environment
• Manufactured by Engineered Marine Products (EMP), a trusted name in aftermarket marine engine components

A faulty IAC valve can cause rough idle, stalling at low RPM, or erratic engine speed at rest. Replacing the valve with a quality EMP unit restores smooth, reliable idle performance. Always verify compatibility with your specific engine model and serial number before installation.
