Danfoss 088H-3121 TWA-V Thermal Wax Actuator 24V Normally Open

The Danfoss 088H-3121 is a TWA-V (Thermal Wax Actuator) designed for use with RAV and VMT valves in hydronic heating and cooling systems. This compact electro-thermal actuator operates on 24V AC/DC power and features a normally open (N/O) configuration, meaning the valve remains open when the actuator is de-energized.

Key Features:

• 24V AC/DC operation with low 2W power consumption
• Normally open (N/O) function for fail-safe operation
• Slow-acting thermal wax element eliminates water hammer
• Visual position indicator shows valve status at a glance
• Silent operation with no moving motors
• Approximately 3-minute spindle travel time for gradual control
• IP 41 enclosure rating for environmental protection
• 950mm (37.4") cable length for flexible installation
• Compatible with Danfoss RAV and VMT valve series

This actuator is ideal for hot water radiator systems, baseboard heating, hydronic floor heating zone controls, and hot/chilled water applications in air handlers. When energized, the internal wax element gradually heats up, causing controlled valve actuation. The TWA-V works seamlessly with Danfoss RET-B, RET-24, and FH-WS low voltage thermostats for precise temperature control.

Operating temperature range: 0-60°C (32-140°F). Maximum inrush current: 350mA. Frequency: 50-60Hz. The actuator features a 110N closing force and operates on on/off or PWM control input for enhanced response time with compatible controllers.
