Product Details

The Sonnax 76990-04K is a high-performance large ratio boost valve kit designed specifically for Ford AOD automatic transmissions. This upgraded kit is engineered for high-performance and heavy-duty rebuilds where increased line pressure rise beyond OE specifications is required.

Key Features:

  • Large ratio boost valve and sleeve for increased line pressure rise over stock specifications
  • Wear-resistant aluminum boost sleeve designed without O-rings for simplified installation
  • Precision-toleranced steel valve minimizes leakage and extends service life
  • Drop-in Zip Valve™ design allows quick and easy installation
  • Addresses poor line rise, direct clutch failure, and soft slide shift complaints
  • Solves problems caused by worn OE boost sleeve allowing boost oil leakage

This kit is ideal for performance and heavy-duty applications where the standard OE boost ratio is insufficient. The high-ratio design provides superior hydraulic control compared to factory specifications, making it an essential upgrade for rebuilt AOD transmissions subjected to demanding operating conditions.
