Sonnax 72760-02K Thermal Bypass Eliminator Kit for Transmission Cooler

The Sonnax 72760-02K thermal bypass eliminator kit allows reuse of the OE cooler bypass valve by removing the OE thermal bypass valve and replacing it with a valve assembly that permanently allows flow through the cooler to prevent transmission overheat. The OE thermal bypass valve in listed transmissions is known to get stuck in recirculation mode, only allowing ATF to circulate in the transmission and not allowing flow through the cooler. As the vehicle gets up to operating temperature, this can result in transmission overheat.

Key Features:

• Drop-in Zip Valve™ parts install quickly and easily into OE cooler bypass valve
• Includes a pressure bypass feature that allows for bypass if the cooler is blocked, preventing transmission failure
• Less expensive solution than replacing the OE cooler bypass valve
• Maintains the pressure bypass to protect the transmission in the event of cooler blockage

Applications:

• Chrysler Transmissions: 42RLE, 45RFE, 545RFE, 68RFE
• Mercedes-Benz Transmission: 722.6
• Nissan/Jatco Transmission: JF011E (RE0F10A)

OEM Part Numbers: 55111005AC, 68192000AA

This thermal bypass eliminator kit ensures your transmission fluid always circulates through the cooler to maintain optimal operating temperatures while preserving critical pressure relief protection. The drop-in design makes installation straightforward without the expense of replacing the entire cooler bypass valve assembly.
