Engineered Marine Products 1300-36044 Idle Air Control Valve for MerCruiser V8 GM & MIE Engines

The Engineered Marine Products (EMP) 1300-36044 is a direct-replacement Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve engineered for MerCruiser V8 250–350 HP GM and MIE sterndrive and inboard engines. This aftermarket IAC valve meets or exceeds original equipment specifications, delivering reliable idle management at a competitive price point.

The idle air control valve regulates engine idle RPM by opening and closing an air bypass passage within the throttle body. The engine's PCM (powertrain control module) receives data from various sensors and sends signals to the IAC valve to precisely adjust idle airflow, maintaining stable, consistent engine idle speed under varying load conditions.
