GPD 1814978 Ignition Knock Sensor

The GPD 1814978 is a direct-fit replacement ignition knock sensor (detonation sensor) engineered to restore proper engine management function. Knock sensors are mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold and continuously monitor for the abnormal vibrations associated with engine knock, pre-ignition, and detonation.

When knock is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed or failing knock sensor can trigger a Check Engine light, reduce fuel efficiency, and leave the engine vulnerable to detonation damage.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit OE replacement — designed to meet or exceed original equipment fit, form, and function
• 100% tested for durability and reliable performance
• Manufactured from premium materials for long service life
• Plug-and-play installation with no modification required
• Backed by GPD's 12-month manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship

GPD (Global Parts Distributors, LLC) is a national distributor of aftermarket automotive engine management and HVAC parts, operating since 1974 with multiple distribution warehouses across the USA.
