URO 958-906-253 Fuel Vapor Canister Purge Valve

The URO 958-906-253 is a fuel vapor canister purge valve designed as a direct replacement for Porsche vehicles. This electrically-operated solenoid valve serves as a critical component of the vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system, controlling the flow of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister into the engine intake manifold for combustion.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for OEM part number 958-906-253
• Cross-references to Audi/VW part number 8K0-906-253-N
• Quality aftermarket replacement from URO Parts
• Electrically-operated solenoid design for precise vapor flow control
• Prevents harmful fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere
• Helps maintain proper air-fuel mixture and emission compliance

When functioning properly, the purge valve remains closed until signaled by the powertrain control module (PCM) to open under specific engine operating conditions. This allows stored fuel vapors to be safely burned during the combustion process, reducing emissions while maintaining optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency. A faulty purge valve can trigger check engine lights with EVAP-related diagnostic codes and may cause rough idling, difficulty starting, or increased emissions.
