GPD 1811880 Ignition Knock Sensor Replacement

The GPD 1811880 is a direct-fit ignition knock sensor (also known as a detonation sensor) designed to replace a worn or failed original equipment sensor. Engineered to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function, this knock sensor restores proper engine management and protects against performance-robbing pre-ignition and detonation.

How It Works:

The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it continuously monitors engine vibrations. When it detects the abnormal vibration signatures associated with engine knock or pre-ignition, it sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which then retards ignition timing to prevent engine damage and restore efficient combustion.

Key Features:

• Engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications for precise fit and reliable function
• 100% tested for durability and performance prior to leaving the factory
• Direct fit replacement — no modifications required for installation
• Manufactured by GPD (Global Parts Distributors), a trusted name in automotive replacement parts
• 1-Year Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship

Replacing a faulty knock sensor promptly helps prevent long-term engine damage, restores fuel efficiency, and eliminates knock-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The GPD 1811880 is a professional-quality solution for a straightforward, reliable repair.
