GPD 1811877 Ignition Knock Sensor Direct Fit Replacement

The GPD 1811877 is a direct-fit ignition knock sensor (detonation sensor) engineered as a professional-quality replacement for select Mazda applications. The knock sensor is mounted on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it monitors for abnormal engine vibrations caused by pre-ignition or detonation events.

When the engine control module (ECM) detects a knock signal, it retards ignition timing to protect the engine from damage. A failed or degraded knock sensor can result in reduced performance, poor fuel economy, and an illuminated Check Engine light. Replacing it with the GPD 1811877 restores proper ignition timing control and engine protection.
