Mapco 95470M Remanufactured Rack and Pinion Steering Assembly

The Mapco 95470M is a remanufactured rack and pinion steering assembly engineered to restore precise, responsive steering performance. Produced by Mapco Compressor — also known in the market as MAVAL — this unit is built to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, making it a reliable direct replacement for a worn or failing steering rack.

Each remanufactured assembly undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process. Housings, shafts, and critical internal components are thoroughly cleaned and inspected for cracks, wear, and leaks. Shafts and housings are polished, and bearings and snap rings are replaced to eliminate play and restore smooth rack travel. All seals, PTFE rings, and O-rings are replaced with new, OE-equivalent components to prevent fluid leaks and ensure long-term reliability.

Key Features:

• Remanufactured to OE specifications for a direct-fit replacement
• All seals, O-rings, and PTFE components replaced with new OE-equivalent parts
• Shafts and housings polished; bearings and snap rings replaced
• Pinion valve performance tested prior to shipment
• Unit centered after final testing to reduce installation time

The Mapco 95470M rack and pinion assembly is performance tested on state-of-the-art equipment to simulate real-world operating conditions, verifying the absence of leaks, abnormal noise, and functional integrity before leaving the facility. This thorough quality control process ensures the unit performs reliably from the first mile after installation.
