Michelin 579871 XVS-P Classic Radial Tire 185HR15 93H with Curb Guard

The Michelin XVS-P 185HR15 is a premium classic radial tire designed specifically for European sports cars and classic automobiles from the 1960s and 1970s. This tire features the distinctive XVS asymmetrical tread pattern originally introduced in 1972 as an uprated version of the legendary XAS to meet the demands of faster, high-performance vehicles of that era.

Key Features:

• Asymmetrical tread design with different inner and outer patterns optimized for their specific roles in cornering and handling
• Raised kerbing rib (curb guard) on one sidewall to protect wheels from curb damage
• Variable-pitch tread pattern engineered to reduce road noise for quieter highway cruising
• H speed rating for safe operation up to 130 mph (210 km/h)
• Load index 93 with maximum load capacity of 1,433 pounds per tire
• Classic black sidewall construction for period-correct appearance
• Tubeless radial construction combining vintage aesthetics with modern performance
• Overall diameter of approximately 25.6 inches (674mm)

Built in authentic Michelin molds, the XVS-P delivers historically accurate styling for restoration projects while providing the superior handling, comfort, and durability expected from modern radial tire technology. The tire's construction differentiates the work performed by shoulders, sidewalls, and crown sections based on their position relative to the vehicle, resulting in balanced handling on winding roads at high speeds.
