Michelin 51203 XAS FF Classic Radial Tire 145HR13

The Michelin XAS FF is a high-performance classic radial tire that has set the standard for excellence since its launch in 1965, featuring a revolutionary asymmetrical tread pattern that delivers exceptional balance and handling. The "FF" stands for "Formule France", a special rubber compound developed for use in vintage racing, rally and hill climb applications.

Key Features:

• Formula France "FF" version features a slightly stiffer sidewall than the regular XAS tires due to a special compound formula
• Lower void outer shoulder provides more continuous tread contact and greater grip during cornering, while greater void along inner shoulder aids in water displacement to increase hydroplaning resistance
• Polyester casing construction supports two wide steel belts with nylon cover for controlled handling in dry and wet conditions plus high-speed capability
• H speed rating supports speeds up to 130 mph, often required for higher performance classic automobile models
• Tubeless radial construction for modern convenience and performance
• Classic black sidewall design for period-correct aesthetics

Michelin's Classic tires are designed for vintage automobiles using modern materials and manufactured to original specifications in small batches to preserve the vehicle's driving character and provide period-correct aesthetics. The 145HR13 size is popular for classic cars from the 1950s through 1970s, including Triumph Spitfire 1300, Austin Healey Sprite, and Fiat 128.
