Caliso BA02611 16 Gauge Green SXL Cross-Link Primary Wire 100 Ft Spool

The Caliso BA02611 is a 16-gauge green SXL cross-linked polyethylene primary wire supplied on a 100-foot spool. SXL wire features a thick-wall cross-linked insulation specifically engineered for demanding automotive, marine, RV, and powersports electrical applications where standard GPT wire may fall short.

Key Features:

• Gauge: 16 AWG primary wire
• Length: 100-foot spool
• Color: Green
• Temperature Rating: Rated to 125°C (257°F) for high-heat environments
• Insulation: Thick-wall cross-linked polyethylene (SXL) — tougher than standard GPT insulation
• Conductor: Stranded copper for flexibility and conductivity
• Resistance: Excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, oil, grease, gasoline, and common solvents
• Voltage Rating: Up to 60V DC / 25V AC
• Standards: Meets SAE J1128

SXL vs. Standard Wire: The cross-linking process restructures the polyethylene insulation at a molecular level, producing a harder, more durable jacket that outperforms standard automotive wire in high-temperature and high-stress environments such as engine compartments, underhood wiring, and industrial vehicle applications.

The green color coding makes circuit identification straightforward during installation and future servicing. This 100-foot spool provides ample wire for most wiring projects, harness builds, or electrical repairs.
