Speedmaster PCE291.1016 Harmonic Balancer 50oz External Balance SFI 18.1

The Speedmaster PCE291.1016 is a harmonic balancer (harmonic damper) for Ford small block 302 and 351 Windsor engines. It is externally balanced at 50 oz and carries an SFI 18.1 rating. The damper absorbs torsional vibration from the rotating assembly to help protect the crankshaft and bearings.

External balance explained: An externally balanced damper has built-in weight or an offset in the casting. To identify your existing damper, check its backside, which is not visible while it is mounted on the engine. If there is no offset or weight in the casting, it is an internal (neutral) balance damper. If you see an offset in the casting or a weight, it is an external damper. Make sure your engine's balance type matches before ordering.
