The Speedmaster PCE281.2165 is an assembled cylinder head for Pontiac 400 and 455 engines, built with a 215cc intake port, 72cc combustion chamber and a Ram Air IV design. It is set up for hydraulic roller valvetrains.

Key Features:

  • 215cc intake port volume and 72cc combustion chamber
  • Ram Air IV style Pontiac cylinder head
  • Assembled for hydraulic roller camshaft applications
  • 2.11" intake valves and 1.66" exhaust valves
  • The valve seat can be machined to accept a larger valve with minimal work

Head Gasket Recommendation:

  • Fel-Pro 10171 for a 4.540" bore
  • Fel-Pro 1016 for a 4.300" bore

Speedmaster notes that CNC ported versions of its Pontiac heads machine the combustion chambers and the intake and exhaust ports on CNC equipment for consistent chamber volume and port shape from cylinder to cylinder. This listing is for the assembled head described above.
