The Speedmaster PCE281.1740 is a bare aluminum cylinder head for Oldsmobile 400, 425 and 455 engines. It has a 188cc intake runner and a 77cc chamber, and it is part of Speedmaster's 18-degree Oldsmobile head line for builders assembling a performance engine.

Gasket and Pushrod Notes:

  • Intake gasket: PCE349.1011
  • Exhaust gasket: PCE355.1001 is recommended for Speedmaster 18-degree heads
  • Aluminum 18-degree heads typically use pushrods +.100" longer than stock. Depending on the components used, shorter or longer pushrods may be needed, so an adjustable pushrod is recommended to set rocker geometry before ordering pushrods to match.

Because this is a bare head, valves, springs, retainers and related valvetrain components are installed separately to suit your build.
