Product Details

The Speedmaster PCE274.1016 I-Beam Connecting Rods are 5140 chromoly steel connecting rods for the Chevy big block 454. They have a 6.135" rod length, a 2.200" big end and a .990" press-fit pin end, and use an I-beam design with some of the strength features found in H-beam rods.

Key Features:

  • Length: 6.135"
  • Dimensions: 2.200" and .990", press fit
  • Material: 5140 chromoly steel
  • Beams are profiled for clearance in long-stroke applications
  • One-rib cap design for added strength and bearing support
  • Polished beams to eliminate stress risers
  • Cap screw bolts to increase strength and horsepower capability
  • X-rayed and ultrasonically tested
  • All surfaces shot peened and stress relieved

These I-beam connecting rods are a strong, durable option for a Chevy BBC 454 engine build.
