Product Details

The Toyo Proxes Sport 2 is an Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for drivers of sports cars, luxury vehicles and high-performance sedans who want a technology-focused tire that delivers excellent dry and wet traction and handling. This max performance summer tire maximizes wet and dry traction, improves cornering stability, and shortens stopping distances by combining innovative casing construction, sophisticated tread compounds, and a refined tread design.

Advanced Dual-Compound Technology:

Two high-grip summer compounds molded into a unified asymmetric tread design, with more flexibility along the inboard half for adhesion to the road surface and greater rigidity toward the outboard for stable dry handling
Dynamic Taper Design reduces block edge deformation to provide better contact with the road and increased block stiffness
Section widths of 285 and above feature an additional center rib for enhanced stability at high speeds

Superior Wet Performance:

Deep circumferential grooves and open shoulders help evacuate water from the footprint for hydroplaning resistance
Inner compound flexibility increases conformity to the road for maximum wet grip

Construction:

Rayon casing for enhanced handling, two wide steel belts, and reinforced by a 2-ply nylon cap for high-speed stability and improved durability
Casing designed to help balance pressure distribution under load for improved braking, acceleration, handling, and more even wear

The Proxes Sport 2 comes with a 25,000-mile treadwear warranty and is designed exclusively for warm weather use. Like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
