GPD 1811740 Ignition Knock Sensor for Honda Accord

The GPD 1811740 is an ignition knock (detonation) sensor designed to monitor and optimize engine performance in Honda Accord vehicles. This critical sensor detects unusual vibrations caused by engine pre-ignition or detonation, allowing the vehicle's computer to adjust spark timing and prevent potentially damaging engine knock.

Key Features:

• Designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form, and function specifications
• Direct fit replacement for factory knock sensor
• 100% tested for durability and performance
• Monitors engine timing to ensure efficient performance under all conditions
• Works with engine control module to prevent knock and optimize fuel efficiency

GPD (Global Parts Distributors) has been providing premium, reasonably priced automotive parts since 1974, originally known as Auto Air of Macon. The knock sensor is typically located on the engine block, cylinder head, or intake manifold, where it continuously monitors vibrations to maintain optimal ignition timing and protect your engine from damage while maximizing power and fuel economy.
