Gates 51864 Premium Modular Radiator Coolant Hose

The Gates 51864 Premium Modular Coolant Hose is a precision-engineered radiator hose designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Built with an EPDM tube and heat-, ozone-, and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover reinforced with a synthetic fiber knit, this hose is engineered for long-lasting performance in demanding cooling system environments.

Key Features:

• OEM-Exact Components: Manufactured with application-specific integrated components including quick connects, branch connectors/tees, and sensors to ensure a direct-fit installation
• Collapse-Resistant Construction: Specifically engineered materials resist hose collapse under vacuum conditions
• Electrochemical Degradation Resistance: Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation — the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Wide Temperature Range: Rated for use from -40°F to +257°F (-40°C to +125°C)
• SAE Certified: Meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 for hose IDs under 25mm (1 in.) and SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 for 25mm (1 in.) ID and over
• Premium EPDM Construction: EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and heat-, ozone-, and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover

Installation Note: Gates recommends replacing clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed. This hose is not intended for fuel or oil transfer applications.

Gates is the recognized leader in the modular assembly coolant hose segment, delivering aftermarket hoses that replicate the complexity and reliability of OEM assemblies. The Gates 51864 is sold individually and is backed by a manufacturer warranty.
