Sporlan Controls 154591 Temperature Responsive Expansion Valve 1/3 Ton 190°F 3/8" ODF

The Sporlan Controls Y1037-FV-1/3-190 is a temperature responsive expansion valve (TREV) designed to prevent excessive compressor discharge temperatures in R-22 refrigeration systems. This valve modulates refrigerant flow in response to bulb temperature only, injecting liquid refrigerant ahead of the compressor in the suction line to control discharge temperatures effectively.

Key Features:

• Brass bar stock body construction for durability and corrosion resistance
• 3/8 inch inlet x 3/8 inch outlet with ODF (sweat) connections
• 1/3 ton nominal capacity rating for R-22 refrigerant
• 190°F temperature setting - valve opens at this bulb temperature
• 5 foot capillary tube length with sensing bulb and bellows assembly
• Built-in 100 mesh inlet strainer for contamination protection
• Maximum working pressure of 500 PSI
• Factory tested to ensure positive leak-free performance

This Type F body valve features a thermostatic element charged with hydraulic fluid that expands as temperature increases. The valve does not have an equalizer connection and operates independently of pressure variations. Rated capacity occurs at 10°F above the bulb temperature at which the valve opens. Internal parts and element are sealed and not field serviceable. Ideal for medium and low temperature refrigeration rack applications where compressor discharge temperature control is critical.
