Field Controls GSK-3 Gas Spillage Sensing Switch 46086400 Manual Reset 180°F

The Field Controls GSK-3 (46086400) is a gas spillage sensing switch, also called a thermal safety switch or flue gas spillage switch. It detects the extra heat from flue gas spillage caused by a blocked flue, continuous downdrafting or inadequate draft. When it senses that heat, it shuts down the burner or burner control.

Key Features:

• Thermal safety switch with manual reset. The burner will not restart until the switch is reset by hand.
• Normally closed SPST switch that opens at 180°F.
• Standard gold contacts.
• Wired in series with the burner circuit to de-energize the burner or burner control.
• For gas-fired millivolt or 24 VAC applications.
• Used on residential and light commercial gas furnaces, boilers and water heaters.

It is typically mounted at a draft hood or barometric draft control to monitor for spillage. Perform an installation inspection and combustion analysis in line with the National Fuel Gas Code before and after adding this safety control to an existing appliance.
