Gates PV386 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid - Valve 2-Port

The Gates PV386 is a vapor canister purge solenoid valve designed to control the flow of fuel vapors from the EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system to the engine intake manifold. This emissions control component plays a critical role in reducing harmful hydrocarbon emissions while improving fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

• 2-hose port configuration with 9/32" and 1/2" connections
• Engineered to meet OE specifications for reliable performance
• Precision solenoid valve controls vapor flow based on ECU signals
• Durable construction designed to withstand under-hood temperatures and fuel vapor exposure
• Direct replacement for worn or failed purge valves

When the engine control module determines conditions are optimal, this solenoid opens to allow stored fuel vapors from the charcoal canister to be drawn into the engine and burned during combustion. A malfunctioning purge valve can trigger check engine lights (often P0443, P0455, P0456 codes), cause rough idle, or lead to emissions test failures. The Gates PV386 provides OE-quality replacement to restore proper EVAP system function.
