Product Details

The Vortex 829AZR-42 is a high-performance aluminum rear sprocket featuring 42 teeth, designed for riders seeking the perfect balance of durability and weight savings. This sprocket is part of Vortex's CAT5 line, constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy with a protective zinc coating that provides excellent corrosion resistance.

Key Features:

  • 42-tooth configuration for optimized gearing ratio
  • 7075-T6 aluminum construction—stronger and lighter than steel
  • Zinc-plated finish for superior corrosion protection
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminum for precision fitment
  • Self-cleaning mud grooves help prevent debris buildup
  • Reduces unsprung weight compared to steel sprockets

Vortex sprockets are engineered to exact tolerances and undergo rigorous quality control testing. The aluminum construction significantly reduces rotational mass, improving acceleration and handling response. The protective coating extends service life even in wet or harsh riding conditions, making this an excellent choice for both street and track applications.

I ordered a part for my RV furnace. You shipped it out in a reasonable time, but the part was delayed by the USPS and I received it almost a week after I ordered it. Since it was delayed & I could not wait for it, I got the same part from another place. After I received your part late, I called and requested a return. I was very satisfied with the return process & received notice yesterday that a refund had been issued. All in all, I was very satisfied with your service, but not with USPS.
