Product Details

The Vortex 827LZR-49 is a lightweight aluminum rear sprocket featuring 49 teeth, engineered for sport and racing applications. This sprocket is part of Vortex's CAT5 rear sprocket line, constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy for an optimal balance of strength and weight savings.

Key Features:

  • 49-tooth configuration for customized gearing ratios
  • 7075-T6 aluminum construction reduces rotating mass
  • CNC-machined for precise tolerances and smooth operation
  • Hard-anodized finish for enhanced wear resistance
  • Self-cleaning mud grooves prevent debris buildup
  • Includes new sprocket nuts for secure installation

Vortex sprockets are designed to work seamlessly with standard 520, 525, or 530 pitch chains depending on the specific application. The lightweight aluminum construction improves acceleration response while the hard-anodized surface treatment extends service life compared to untreated aluminum sprockets.

Saia is a horrible freight company. I used to deal with them at my previous job as a shipper. Box had a little damage, paint is rubbed off in a couple areas and swivel wheel assembly was bent. I was able to get it straight. Hopefully it will roll ok once it has weight on it. Not something I would expect for a $1500 item. I had to call Saia several times because I was getting a runaround on the delivery, they kept telling me they would schedule a delivery time. Never did, it showed up at my house unexpected, luckily my wife was still home. Seems like a good product though
