Vortex 196ZK-48 CAT5 Aluminum Rear Sprocket 48-Tooth

The Vortex 196ZK-48 CAT5 aluminum rear sprocket delivers high-performance gearing with significant weight savings over stock steel sprockets. This 48-tooth sprocket is precision CNC-machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 aluminum for exceptional strength and durability while reducing rotating mass.

Key Features:

• 48-tooth count for improved acceleration and torque
• CAT5 aluminum construction - anodized first, then CNC machined for vibrant color with silver highlights
• 7075-T6 aluminum alloy provides optimal strength-to-weight ratio
• Patented tooth design reduces friction and extends chain life
• Precision CNC machining ensures perfect concentricity for smooth operation
• Hard anodized finish resists corrosion and wear
• Mud grooves help keep components clean

Reducing weight on drive components has a multiplied effect on rotating mass, improving acceleration and throttle response. The perfected tooth profile creates less drag and friction for better power transfer and longer component life. Vortex sprockets are manufactured to the tightest tolerances, ensuring a perfectly concentric sprocket that frees horsepower and extends the life of both chain and sprocket.
