The Vortex 196AZK-40 is a high-performance aluminum rear sprocket designed for serious riders seeking the perfect balance of weight savings and durability. Constructed from 7075-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, this sprocket delivers exceptional strength while significantly reducing rotational mass compared to steel alternatives.

Key Features:

  • 40-tooth configuration for 520 pitch chain
  • Premium 7075-T6 aluminum construction for superior strength-to-weight ratio
  • CNC-machined for precise tolerances and optimal chain engagement
  • Hard-anodized finish for enhanced wear resistance and corrosion protection
  • Self-cleaning design helps prevent mud and debris buildup
  • Laser-etched tooth count marking for easy identification

Vortex sprockets are engineered to meet or exceed OEM specifications and undergo rigorous quality control testing. The 196AZK series features optimized tooth profiles that reduce friction and extend chain life while providing smooth, reliable power transfer. Ideal for sport riding, track days, or street performance applications where weight reduction and precision matter.

Saia is a horrible freight company. I used to deal with them at my previous job as a shipper. Box had a little damage, paint is rubbed off in a couple areas and swivel wheel assembly was bent. I was able to get it straight. Hopefully it will roll ok once it has weight on it. Not something I would expect for a $1500 item. I had to call Saia several times because I was getting a runaround on the delivery, they kept telling me they would schedule a delivery time. Never did, it showed up at my house unexpected, luckily my wife was still home. Seems like a good product though

Fair price and quick delivery.
