How Internal Bypass Technology Works: Fox's patented IBP system varies damping control based on piston position within the shock. Mid-stroke damping remains lighter to absorb whoops and rocks while controlling body roll. During full compression, damping dramatically increases to prevent bottoming out at high speeds. At full extension, damping increases again to prevent damage from topping out during jumps. This position-sensitive technology delivers both improved comfort and exceptional performance across all terrain types.
