Asco 8221G005 2-Way Normally Closed Slow Closing Brass Solenoid Valve 3/4" NPT 120VAC

The Asco 8221G005 is a pilot-operated, 2-way slow closing solenoid valve designed specifically for water service applications. This normally closed valve features a 3/4-inch NPT connection and operates on 120VAC/60Hz or 110VAC/50Hz power, making it versatile for various electrical systems.

Key Features:

• Slow-closing snubber mechanism reduces water hammer damage without requiring additional suppressors or controls in most water systems
• 3/4-inch orifice size with 5.5 Cv flow coefficient for high flow applications
• Brass body construction with NBR/PTFE seals and NBR disc for durability and chemical resistance
• Operating pressure range: 5 to 150 PSI (requires minimum 5 PSI differential to open)
• Maximum media temperature: 180°F for general water service
• NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, and 4X rated enclosure for versatile installation environments
• Low power consumption: 6.1 watts AC (8.1 watts on 50Hz service)
• 302 stainless steel springs, 305 stainless steel core tube, and 430F stainless steel core components

This pilot-operated valve is ideal for applications including car wash equipment, air compressors, pumps, laundry equipment, and industrial water control systems. The integrated slow-closing feature protects plumbing systems from pressure spikes caused by sudden valve closure, extending system life and reducing maintenance requirements.
