About Currie Enterprises
Few names carry as much weight in the performance drivetrain and suspension world as Currie Enterprises. Founded in 1959 by Frank Currie, the company began humbly — Currie started out fabricating differentials for material-handling equipment like electric carts, tugs, and scissor lifts out of a small garage. Over the following decades, Frank's three sons — Charlie, John, and Raymond — joined the family business and steered it in a new direction, channeling their off-road passion into developing superior aftermarket rearends for Jeeps, hot rods, and muscle cars.
Today, Currie Enterprises operates out of a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing complex in Corona, California, employing over 50 dedicated specialists. The company continues to build high-performance direct replacement and custom rear axle assemblies for everything from classic American muscle cars and street rods to lifted Jeep Wranglers and off-road competition rigs. Their products have been proven in some of the most demanding arenas on the planet — including King of the Hammers, Jeepspeed Challenge desert racing, and professional rock crawling circuits nationwide.
What Makes Currie Different
Unlike many brands that source and rebadge components, Currie manufactures in-house. CNC axle splining machines, precision gear set-up technicians, and custom housing fabrication all happen under one roof. This level of vertical integration gives Currie unmatched quality control over every assembly that leaves their facility. Whether you're building a weekend cruiser or a competition-ready crawler, Currie's engineering depth means you get a product that has been designed, tested, and refined by people who actually wheel their own vehicles.
Currie's reach extends well beyond rear axle assemblies. Their suspension stabilizer bar kits — most notably the legendary Antirock® sway bar system — have become an industry standard for serious off-road builds. When maximum suspension articulation is the goal, Antirock® distributes weight and traction evenly across all four tires, freeing up axle travel without requiring the driver to disconnect anything for trail use. The bars are crafted from SAE 4130 heat-treated chromoly steel, the same grade used in professional off-road competition builds.
Steering geometry is another Currie specialty. Their coil spring, tie rod sleeve, and sway bar kits reflect decades of experience tuning the relationship between suspension and steering. The Currectlync heavy-duty tie rod and drag link systems, for example, are engineered to be significantly stronger than OEM components and are designed as direct bolt-on replacements — no machining required. These kits are engineered specifically for lifted applications, ensuring that steering precision isn't sacrificed when you increase ride height.
Precision linkage is critical wherever suspension components move, and Currie's suspension rod end bearings reflect that philosophy. Heim-jointed rod ends are used throughout Currie's sway bar links and tie rod systems, providing the articulation and strength that off-road and performance applications demand, while maintaining consistent geometry under load.
A Legacy Built on Performance
From hot rods to rock crawlers, Currie Enterprises has spent more than six decades proving that performance parts can be both purpose-built and street-friendly. Their catalog spans muscle car applications — including 9-inch rear end builders for classic Chevelles, Camaros, and GM A-body platforms — all the way to purpose-built Jeep and Bronco axle systems. If you're serious about your build, Currie is a name you can trust to deliver the engineering that backs it up.
