The Skyward Automotive Products SKDLA259 is a door lock actuator (also called a power door lock actuator or door lock motor). It is the electrically operated part that locks and unlocks a vehicle door when you use the power lock switch or the key fob.

A worn or failing door lock actuator can cause a door to stop responding to the power lock controls. Replacing it restores normal power locking at that door.
